Quick answer
A UAE trademark lasts 10 years from the filing date. Renew it in the tenth year (AED 5,750 renewal fee plus AED 750 publication, per class) or within 6 months after expiry at a higher renewal fee of AED 6,500. Renewal needs no new examination.

When to renew
You can renew during the tenth year of protection, or within a six-month grace period after it ends at a higher fee. After the grace period the registration can be lost, and you would need a new application.
Renewal fees
| Renewal in the 10th year | AED 750 publication + AED 5,750 renewal |
| Renewal within 6 months after expiry | AED 750 publication + AED 6,500 renewal |
| Monitoring / inspection marks | AED 8,250 renewal on time, AED 9,750 late |
The Ministry lists the publication fee and the renewal fee as separate items. Fees are per class; confirm the final amount on the Ministry portal when you apply.
How it works
Apply online, attach the power of attorney if an agent files, and pay. The Ministry quotes an average of one working day, issues the renewal certificate and publishes the renewal in the Bulletin. Protection continues for another 10 years without a new examination or opposition period.
