How to register a trademark in Albania
- Search the DPPI register of industrial property objects for earlier marks.
- File the application with DPPI, online via the e-Albania portal or on Form FM1, with a representation of the mark, the list of goods and services by Nice class, and proof of payment of the filing fee.
- If filing through a representative, include the authorisation of representation.
- DPPI examines the application for formalities and absolute grounds for refusal; relative grounds are raised only through opposition.
- The application is published in the DPPI Bulletin, and third parties may file oppositions or observations within three months of publication.
- If there is no successful opposition, the mark is registered after payment of the registration fee.

- Albania is not an EU member state, so EU trade marks do not cover Albania; protection requires a national filing or a Madrid designation.
