## Steps
1. Search earlier marks for conflicts (a search can be requested from the office).
2. File an application with the Ministry of Justice for one mark, listing goods and services grouped by Nice class, with proof of payment of the fee.
3. The Ministry posts the application details on its website within one working day of filing, and third parties may submit written comments on bad-faith filings.
4. Formal examination is carried out within 30 days of filing.
5. Substantive examination is carried out no earlier than 6 and no later than 7 months from filing.
6. If the decision is positive, pay the registration fee; the mark is entered in the State Register within 3 working days of proof of payment.
7. Registration is published in the official bulletin and an electronic certificate is issued.

- **Late renewal:** 6 months after expiry (renewal request otherwise filed in the last year of validity)
- **Language:** Uzbek (state language); Russian is also used in practice
- **Use requirement:** a registration can be challenged after 3 years of non-use.
